Plain-language terms for using Record and Transcribe.
The service
Record and Transcribe provides voice recording on iPhone and Apple Watch with automatic transcription, speaker labelling, and (with Recorder Pro) summaries. Features and limits are described on the pricing page and in the App Store listing.
Your content
Recordings, transcripts, and summaries are your content. You grant us only the processing rights needed to provide the service (for example, transmitting audio to produce your transcript). See the privacy policy for how audio is handled and deleted.
Lawful recording
You are responsible for recording lawfully — consent requirements for recording conversations vary by country and region. Do not use the app to record people unlawfully.
Subscriptions
Recorder Pro is billed through your Apple account. Prices may vary by region and are confirmed in the App Store at purchase. You can cancel any time in your Apple subscription settings; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Service quality
Transcription is automated and, like all speech recognition, not guaranteed to be error-free. Review transcripts before relying on them. The service is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law.
